Kansas City, MO – The Kansas City Chiefs made it official Wednesday, reuniting wide receiver Jeremy Maclin with his former Eagles head coach Andy Reid.
Maclin, who signed a one-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles prior to last season after missing all of 2013 with a torn ACL, caught 85 passes for 1,318 yards and 10 touchdowns while playing all 16 games in Chip Kelly’s offense.
Reid was the head coach of the Eagles when they selected Maclin in the first round of the 2009 draft. Reid openly admits he thought he was ordering some Mac’n Cheese, but was happy with Maclin’s skills on the field.
Maclin played in 75 games with the Eagles and his career numbers include 343 receptions for 4,771 yards and 36 touchdowns as well as dealing with DeSean Jackson’s ego for 4 years.
Kansas City did not have a receiver with a touchdown catch in 2014, but led the league in fried chicken orders.
